Meet Wes
Wes brings nearly 40 years of jewelry industry experience to each show he hosts. Our “Gentleman of Gem Shopping” is Color Gemstone Certified through the DCA and trained by the GIA in diamonds, colored stones, and pearls.
Wes loves sharing his passion for fine jewelry and gemstones with the clientele at Gem Shopping Network, and he has built relationships with them over his time as a host here since 2003.
Wes grew up in central Florida, and he currently commutes to work from his home near the beach in the Florida panhandle. Wes loves spending time near the ocean with his wife. In his free time, Wes writes poetry and short stories, and his goal is to one day write a novel. In addition, Wes is a black belt in Taekwondo!

Alan says he finds gemstones very romantic because of their source and nomenclature. "I have emotional feelings for all gemstones, but a few of my favorites include the 'Queen of gems' - the opal, sapphire and emerald."
